Loch Ossian Loop

It starts and finishes at the Corrour Train Station and runs along 9 miles.

This trail is quite remote and is filled with a sense of adventure. The trail is only accessible by train or you can walk as well, which is going to be a long one. The route is almost flat, less than 100 m ascents. Once you are done with running, refresh at the Corrour Lodge at the extreme end of the loch or check out the SHYA eco-hostel filled with rustic vibes.

Two Lairigs Circular, Glencoe

It starts at A82 Car Park and finishes at PH49 4HY and runs along 9.25 miles.

This is a hilly and rugged trail and best accessed in an anti-clockwise direction. You will find this trail crossing a river at its early stage and as you gradually ascend, you will find more on the way. The navigation is straightforward in this trail. Do not forget to look at the breath-taking view that opens up on Loch Etive. The trail can be strenuous and includes a 573 m climb in the loop of 9.25 mile.

Loch Affric Safari

It starts and finishes at the Loch Affric Circuit Car Park and runs along 11.5 miles

One of the most stunning glens in Scotland. Etched on a mountainous backdrop is a combination of magical and native pine woodlands of Caledonian heritage and remote lochs, giving the best of both worlds in a single trail. Drive at the end of the Glen Affric minor road, enjoying the scenic backdrop at the same time, and access the 11.5 miles route. The trail starts and ends at the same spot with a picnic spot and public toilets.

This trail is defined by gradual climbs with a 330m ascent in total. The trail is divided into two parts. The first one being the rolling Land Rover track and the second one is the rougher and untouched by any car.

Cairngorm & the Northern Corries

This route starts at Cairngorm Mountain Ski centre and ends at PH22 1RB and runs along 7 miles.

This route is unusual in the sense that it uses the extensive ski infrastructure to gain plateau access at Cairngorm. You can make the most of this impressive terrain in a clockwise direction with a fantastic descent. The fabulous views in the backdrop of dramatic cliffs will be a constant companion while you are running the trail. However, you must remember one thing while on this trail, that is, the weather condition is pretty unpredictable on the Cairngorm plateau. Though it is accessible, runners should know the navigation of the compass and map, and be well informed about mountainous terrains before running this trail.
