Camping outdoor brings with it the ultimate joy of enjoying the bonfire and sipping a hot cup of coffee alongside. The enticing aroma not only lightens up the mood, making you feel refreshed and energetic, but it also gives you the drive to enjoy every single moment spent with your friends and family. However, brewing coffee in the wild might not be as easy as it sounds. With no go-to coffee shops around you will need to learn how to brew coffee in the open. Coffee making has always been my forte. I learnt this art a few years back from a fellow camper. Read below to know the various hit and trial methods which have so far never been disappointing to me when it comes to coffee making.

Percolator Coffee

We all know that it is impossible to carry all kinds of equipment when we are out for a fun adventure. Hence, something like a percolator is what can be ideal for a car-camping trip. A good-old-fashioned percolator is loved by those who like their coffee strong. All that is needed is a camp stove or the usual campfire.

What is required is a kettle with water with a paper filter in the basket. You just need to boil it until its ready. The glass/plastic viewing bubble at the top lets you have a look at the coffee so that you can make out by the colour of it whether it is ready or not.

Cowboy Coffee

This method is considered to be the simplest way of getting your cup of coffee. All that is required is a water kettle which is to be removed from the stove after the water boils. Adding the coffee grounds and stirring it is the next step. One can add a little water to the mixture in order to let the grounds settle.

Coldbrew Coffee

Camping in summers can be tiring and at times irritating due to the weather. Drinking a piping cup of coffee during such weather is impossible. Hence, a cold brew coffee is a saviour at such times. There are a number of cold brew coffees available in the market. Even a small bottle of the concentrated cold brew is good enough for you and your fellow campers.

Pour-over Coffee

Having your morning caffeine boost gets easier when you have a lightweight and compact pour-over stand. These are designed keeping in mind the difficulty a coffee enthusiast faces while preparing a simple cup of coffee. You can either boil water over hot coals or simply over a camp stove. What needs to be done next is taking the out filter baskets out of the coffee makers and taking them along with you in the camps.

French Press Coffee

Adding a French press to your camping list if you cannot resist the desire of drinking authentic coffee. French press, unlike a filtered coffee, gives you more flavour and retains natural oils. Using a French press is the best way to satiate your craving for a hot and aromatic cup of coffee amidst the wilderness. All you need to do is boil water over a camp stove and add coffee grounds into the bottom, stir, wait, and depress the plunger.

Instant Coffee

Carrying heavy equipment along to the camp is not the right thing to do. Hence, a few instant coffee packets are the best that you can think of if you are a hardcore coffee lover. Just mix the coffee in the hot water and relish your cup of coffee.

Coffee is a camping staple and tastes really good, especially during cold winter days. Waking up to a hot steaming cup of coffee after a night of sleeping under the stars is the best thing. Explore the above coffee making processes and savour every sip of that warm coffee cup.
