There are so many wonderful areas of the UK for outdoors fans to explore. But not every region has its own TV channel/website. The launch of the new Peak District TV site reveals just how brilliantly video can tell a story and promote an area to potential visitors. Working behind the scenes is Terrybnd – also one of your Outdoor Look kit reviewers – and it's his superb film and camera work that is sure to establish this forward-thinking promotional channel as a tourism leader.

The Peak District TV site includes video and reports on walking, climbing, things to do, villages, accommodation, pubs, attractions and, one of Terry's favourites, wild camping. Terry is extremely good at capturing the essence of a walk or an attraction and turning the films into eye-catching and absorbing footage.

The on-line world is now exploding with outdoors video content

And it seems an obvious step to explore and reveal a gorgeous region on film. Without even stepping close to the Peak District, viewers can now see the range of landscape, wildlife, attractions and places to stay - helping them to make up their minds about where to go and what to do.

Sheep grazing in sunny meadows, a gaggle of geese running for their supper, the majestic hills in the evening – these have all been captured on video on Peak District TV. These videos can now be accessed online via the company’s site, You Tube and on the TV site.

Terry is hugely enthusiastic about the project and its thanks to his motivation that the project has got off the ground. Terry loves the Peak District National Park and he reckoned that there was a gap in the market for a video-based marketing tool. We think that this website will be just the first in a new era of promotional tourism websites.
