The views from Folkestone to Dover are some of the best in all of England. The White Cliffs of Dover are a must-see, and there's no better way to see them than by hiking the trail that runs along the coast. The hike is about eight miles long, but don't let that intimidate you – it's doable for people of all fitness levels.

I started my walk at Folkestone West station and followed the signs for Dover. I was surprised by how quickly the landscape changed from town to countryside, and it wasn't long before lakes and hills surrounded me.  The first thing you'll need to know about the Folkestone to Dover hike is that it's not for the faint of heart. If you're feeling a bit tired by the time you reach the halfway point, then don't worry, you're not alone.
