ZUU fitness is trending nowadays. But what is ZUU? Well, ZUU is a high-intensity interval training (HIT) that is based on primal movements which include- pushing, crawling, lunging, pulling, squatting, and twisting. Each session of ZUU lasts for around 20-minutes.

ZUU helps in building flexibility, agility, and cardiovascular endurance. It also enhances your mobility, making you fitter and healthier.

Know About ZUU

ZUU was curated by the Australian fitness expert Nathan Helberg. He likes to describe himself as a ‘human movement educator’. The high-intensity interval training or HIT workouts were initially done by athletes and the armed forces during their season training, conditioning, and rehabilitation. ZUU is very beneficial in remote location training- especially in situations where no gym equipment is available.

From a limited audience, the ZUU fitness regime entered the commercial market through the Virgin Active gyms and now is accessible to anyone who wants to try it out. It has received a great deal of encouragement and promotion as well. The Pack Animal Fitness company is one of the first independent companies to offer ZUU classes in Scotland. If you visit Glasgow Green, you will notice ZUU classes going on with full zeal. It is said that British schools will soon include ZUU fitness classes in their curriculum to improve children’s health.

ZUU is overall, a combined strength and energy regime that supposedly burns around 300 calories in 20 minutes only! The ZUU communities have an inclusive culture of motivating each other so that no one gives up during these intensive sessions.

The head trainer at Pack Animal Fitness, David Grant says, “ZUU is bodyweight training at its best – and it can be done anywhere by anyone.”  He further adds, “The exercises are based around animal movements and the classes get participants moving in ways that daily life neglects.”

This fitness regime is particularly helpful for people struggling with tight hips, back, weak wrists, and stiff shoulders.

Who Can Do ZUU?

Well, ZUU is open to all. In David’s words, “The ZUU moves can be regressed or progressed to suit the individual so that there is an entry point for everyone no matter your fitness capabilities.” Hence, no matter what age or fitness level you are at, you can perform ZUU at any point of life and time you want to.

Where can one get ZUU Classes?
