With the unpredictability of the British weather walking clothes come in all spaces and designs. With summer on its way we know that even with the sun beating down and not a cloud in the sky, a couple of hours later we can reaching for a rain jacket and overtrousers as the skies open and stair-rods of rain start to fall.

The British weather has given us plenty to talk about the years a, especially over the last few months, with records being broken on what seems a daily basis, “the wettest Spring in the last fifty years” screamed the TV and associated media in the last few days. People and property have suffered, but life goes on, lets see what the next few months brings, who knows we could be talking about the hottest summer on record and complaining about the lack of rain. There again, we could be moaning about yet another year without a Wimbledon champion, and how long has that been going on.

Make the most of any warm days we get, get outside and enjoy whatever pursuit you like, whether its walking, cycling running, rock climbing, it doesn’t matter just get out there! Just remember to be versatile with whatever clothing you take with you. Layering is the buzzword everyone now knows about, it’s just that at this time of the year we want most of the clothing to be lightweight and packable so we don’t wear it often, but durable and practical enough for when we do.

So whatever walking clothes you pack, whether its for a day out, or that hike along the Pennine Way you have been planning since last summer, make sure everything you pack is of the best quality for your budget, and will do the job you expect it to, when you need it.
