The Helly Hansen Alpha Jacket takes ski jacket breathability and fit to a whole new level thanks to a new approach to venting and the use of high-performance fabric.

Three years after the Norwegian company’s much-heralded Flow Down venting technology debuted, the designers have tweaked it a bit. Borrowing the mesh venting approach used in mountaineering backpacks, the Mesh Flow system featured in this new jacket gives skiers a pocket of air that keeps the jacket off the back. With the jackets vents closed, this pocket of warm air that stays trapped beneath the PrimaLoft insulation. If it gets too warm, the skier simply opens the vents!

The jacket is made with Helly Tech Professional fabric, which for all us novices means that in addition to being waterproof it is also stretchy! The athletic fit moves with the skier’s motion, always staying in the right position no matter how active a skier you might be. And at no time does the material bunch or clump, causing that uncomfortable restriction of movement.

In addition to these new features, the jacket also has all the expected items that come with top brand ski jackets including: RECCO reflector for detection in an avalanche, fully sealed seams, snap-away powder skirt, an adjustable and detachable hood and a ski pass pocket.

How can I ask for any more I hear you cry… well with 25% off the RRP price, this jacket just keeps on giving!
