There are a very few activities that can give you the relaxation and rejuvenation that an outdoor camping activity with your friends or companions can give. It always feels nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life and get back to the lap of mother nature. Though it might feel a bit overwhelming initially to leave all the comforts of a city life behind to go on a camping trip. Fortunately, if you know all the camping hacks, your trip to wild will become more enjoyable and easier than before. Here, I am sharing with you all the camping hacks that help me during my camping adventures.

Keeping Flies and Mosquitoes Away

I find buying a citronella candle for keeping mosquitoes away an expensive way and instead I choose wild sage, which is available in abundance and comes free in some regions. Burning a bundle of sage or sagebrush can help in repelling mosquitoes and flies. Also to some people, the smell of burning sage feels better than burning citronella candles.
Glow Sticks for Illumination

Finding items in the dark can get a little tricky especially if you forget to take your flashlight along with you. The life would become pretty easy if you can keep a glow-stick with you as it will provide a simple and hassle-free solution to your lighting needs in the after-dark.

Be Comfortable on Foam Puzzle Pieces

Sleeping on my super comfy mattress has made me susceptible to discomfort while sleeping on the hard ground in the tent. My solution to this problem is to grab some jigsaw foam tiles used in children’s playroom and use them to create a cosier floor in the tent to sleep on. Made of foam, the tiles are easy to carry and can be easily cut to fit the size of the tent.

Keep Frozen Bottles

Having ice cubes inside your cooler can become a big mess. Using frozen bottles instead will not only help you in your hydration needs after melting but will also help you save your food from the saturation caused due to ice cubes.

Bake Prep in Advance

Everyone loves fresh pancakes or a Dutch oven cobbler. I mix and store all the dry ingredients (pre-measured) inside a large mason jar with some extra room so that when in camp I can mix the wet ingredients in the jar and stir it to make a ready-to-cook mix without the need of a mixing bowl. This method is very effective for giving a fresh taste with lesser cooking items to carry.

Using Tree for Hanging Clothes

A tree nearby your camping site can become a helpful tool for organising your clothes if you just follow what I do. Tie a belt around the tree. Hang a few S-hooks from the belt and you have your own clothes organiser. Although, make sure to wind the belt tightly around it so that it doesn't slip down due to the weight of clothes. Using the webbing belt for this purpose will be your best option.

So these were the hacks that I found useful during my camping trips in the wild. Camping is the most fulfilling experience if you want to remain close to nature and unwind from the hectic city life. These small hacks will help you get the much-needed comfort during your camping tour and make camping an enriching experience of your life.
