During this time of the year, we’re often not completely sure what the weather will be like. With the weather nice and the temperatures high, any drop can cause people to automatically grab an extra layer such as a jacket.

But when you’re about to embark on an activity such as hiking or cycling, this isn’t always the best idea. What is often forgotten is that when we’re undertaking these types of activities, we quickly work up a lot of body heat. If you’re already wearing excess layers, you’re likely to be too warm which will cause you to sweat, making you particularly uncomfortable.

For you to maintain a good temperature, it would be beneficial if you can withstand some chilly temperatures at the beginning as you’ll soon warm up and feel much better.

Even when you warm up, not everyone will be at a temperature where a jacket or an extra layer is not needed, so make sure to bring one in your rucksack if you think you might need one! If not, you’ll feel more comfortable and have a lighter pack.
