I have always been a workout enthusiast. I was dedicated to gaining strength, losing some fat, and getting rid of my terrible hip pain. Which is why, I hired a personal trainer with whom I work out twice a week. I am well aware that getting a personal trainer can be expensive but I don’t mind doing so because I am not really fond of spending my money on lattes, expensive clothes, or eating out.

Through this article, I would like to bring forth some of the benefits of getting a personal trainer. Believe me, it can bring drastic positive changes in your personal and professional lives.

Five Ways in Which Working with a Personal Trainer Can Change You:

  1. I am very picky about what I eat. That does not mean that I am completely against junk food but yes, I don’t crave it much. Working out with a personal trainer who will be able to give you personalized insights about your diet will change how you look at food entirely.
  2. As much as what you eat is important, when you eat also becomes pivotal in your journey. You will find yourself eating more often. I eat every few hours- maybe an RX bar, an ounce of almonds, a half-cup of yoghurt with some slices of my favourite fruit, etc. All these mini-meals are in addition to my breakfast, lunch, and dinner. These meals are easy to prepare and keep you active throughout the day. It also leads to less consumption of junk food eventually.
  3. The more you go to the gym, the better you put your gym membership card to use. Even though I meet my trainer twice a week, I go to the gym every weekday and get my workout done. Doing a 45-minute cardio has become so integral to my routine that I can’t do without it now. On weekends, I go for trail running and if that does not happen, you will definitely spot me at the gym.
  4. The gym is indeed a great place to socialise and build a community. Whether it is working out together, helping each other with equipment handling, or telling someone how to go about with a piece of new equipment, the experience keeps getting better. Moreover, it motivates you to go to the gym, even more, to meet up with your friends.
  5. Personal training and working out regularly in general, make the body get less sore. After one point not feeling sore makes you doubt your workout regime. Although my trainer Ro still manages to give me sore muscles every time we meet, it is rather a welcome feeling that an awful one!

Hence, working out with a personal trainer gets you on the right exercises that will help you achieve your goals (weight loss, strength gain, muscle building, etc.) and will keep you fit and healthy in the long run with a proper diet and lifestyle.
