With the new delivery of Merrell shoes I have been able to try out the Merrell Intercept Shoe over the last few days and here are my thoughts. Do you agree with them? Would you recommend this or another of our products? If so why not let us know your experiences

Merrell Intercept Walking Shoe

Features:

Full grain leather upper

Bellows tongue keeps debris out

Abrasion resistant toe cap

In Board Compression molded EVA footframe provides cushioning

Merrell air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability

Straight out of the box the shoes look rugged and very well made and further examination shows the tough materials that have been used both inside and on the sole. Being a traditional boot man this was something a little out of my normal comfort zone and these are the first pair of Merrell’s I have tried, but from the first moment of putting them on they were as comfortable and as light as wearing slippers, and as the day progressed my feet didn’t feel like they were getting too hot, as has happened with other footwear. The combination of arch support and the chucky, grippy treaded sole meant that going over uneven ground wasn’t such hard work and there was enough comfort when hitting the pavements at the end of the day. Unfortunately, being so cushioned and supportive it does mean that my other footwear is set to be ignored for the near future.

In a Nutshell:

9.5/10

Verdict: This is definitely a great shoe, comfortable from the moment you put it on, it keeps water out and even after being worn all day for three consecutive days doesn’t smell of sweaty feet. The styling on the shoe isn’t overdone and with the ample tread on the sole they feel really stable no matter what terrain you are travelling over. Overall they make a great choice for a shoe that will not only get you from A to B over hill and dale but will look good for that smart casual look if you are going out in the evening. Comfortable to wear for hours on end this is one product I would definitely recommend, and available at a great price.
