People usually opt for tent camping when they go camping with their family as they think with little kids it is a safer option. But, I wanted to make my family camping trip more exciting. This is the reason I went camping in my 93 VW Eurovan. There were ups and downs during the trip, but we returned with a lot of good memories.

Tips for Camping with Kids

  1. Book a camper van that has seats for kids. Separate seats for kids provide with enough space to sleep comfortably at the night.
  2. With kids, try to pack all the essentials that they use at home. Store everything in soft luggage bags so, they can easily fit under the camper van’s seat and will not occupy extra space.
  3. Pack the weather-appropriate clothing for your kids. Lightweight pants and long-sleeved tops make a versatile option for all weather.
  4. Take a first-aid kit for immediate treatment of injuries. A thermometer is essential to keep a check on your kid’s body temperature as they could get sick due to the varied weather.
  5. Don’t forget your kid’s soft toys. The stuffy friend of your kid will keep them busy.
  6. Take your kid’s favourite snacks in enough quantity that can last for a few days. You can restock them at your next destination.
  7. Carry mosquito nets and mosquito-repellent creams to keep your kids protected from flies and mosquitoes.

These are my handy tips for you to prepare for camping with kids. Keep in mind the above tips and plan a camping trip.
