The Dales Way

Crossing through the Yorkshire Dales from East to West, the official starting point of this walk is Ilkley.

From here, the walk encompasses the full length of Wharfedale (said by many to be the most beautiful of the Yorkshire Dales). This is only one of many magnificent sights that will be observed on this walk however, as you cross the Pennine watershead with views over the Three Peaks, pass through the picturesque Lakeland and end up at Lake Windermere.

If you live close to Leeds, Bradford or Harrogate, there are links into the Dales Way from all of these towns which may be more convenient for you.

This walk can be comfortably completed in 9 days and requires a moderate level of fitness, so why not get on your walking boots, and regatta clothing (or other outdoor clothing) and get out into the beautiful countryside!
