Camping is great, but you can feel a little overwhelmed by the amount of things that you need to bring and remember. These top tips will help you to get the most out of the items that you have which will hopefully help you to spend less time worrying and more time having fun!

  • Place solar lights around your tent or the perimeter of your camp, which will allow you to move around safer during the night.
  • Bring an air mattress as it will give you that little bit of extra distance between yourself and the ground which will hopefully result in you having an improved night’s sleep, leaving you energised and ready to tackle the day ahead.
  • To help to prevent any dirt from your footwear making its way into the inside of your tent, try placing a door mat at the entrance of your tent.
  • A camp table can act as a mini-kitchen where you can prepare meals in a clean location, away from the picnic table which can be used for entertainment!

  • As you don’t have an awful lot of room to bring as much as you may like, it’d be very beneficial to try and find some smaller alternatives to carry items, to limit the amount of excess room. One such example is tic tac containers which can be used to carry spices and are resealable.
  • Keep your items organised by tying a belt around a tree and attach hooks or hangers to it, which will allow you to hang any items from them, making them much easier to find.
  • A small tip which can actually save you a fairly significant amount of room is to use a bottle of water to magnify the lighting effect of a headlamp, meaning that you can save yourself the space of including a headlamp with you.
  • A hammock is by no means an essential item to bring, but if you can find room to bring one along as well as a good book, it can set you up for a very pleasant, relaxing day.
